  1. Interviews are certainly key parts of the hiring process, as they serve as confirmation for whether or not a candidate is likely to succeed in the organization and in the job. Interviews are only as effective as how and when they are conducted, though.
Research has shown that 83% of applicants say that a negative hiring experience harms their image of the organization. With the current candidate market conditions, organizations cannot afford to have a less than optimal hiring process.
So, I believe that interviews are important to the candidate and the organization as well.

  3. Gayathri this article gives overview of an interview elaborating more I would like to explain bit about strategies of an interview.
Creating an interview strategy is important because it can help you prepare for a candidate's interview by providing you with tools and techniques to gain relevant and helpful information. This can help you understand the potential employee's background and expertise, so you know if you are hiring the most qualified candidate. Some of these strategies you can prepare ahead of time, while others you can practice during the interview itself.
    Types of interview strategies
Here are some strategies you can follow to help you during an interview:

    1. Prepare questions ahead of time
Preparing questions prior to seeing the candidate can save you time during the interview and ensure that you get all the information you need. When preparing questions, it can be helpful to read them aloud and show them to other employees or managers to see if they have any feedback to offer. This can help you form clear inquiries that can gain you the most valuable and relevant information from your potential candidates.
    2. Actively listen to the answers
During an interview, it can be important to show a candidate you're actively listening to their responses because it can increase their confidence and help you learn more information about them. When a potential employee feels like you're listening to them, they might feel more confident in their answers and provide you with further relevant information that can help you determine if they are the right candidate for the job. It can also help demonstrate the professionalism of the company you represent, which can be important when a potential employee is determining whether to accept a position.

A few ways to practice active listening include:

    Maintain eye contact.
    Ask relevant questions.
    Ask for clarification (when necessary).
    Nod and smile.
Summarize what they said to you.

    3. Minimize distractions
Minimizing distractions is important because it can help you focus on candidate responses and can also help the potential employee feel calm and collected during the interview. This can allow the candidate to give quality responses that are beneficial to helping you decide if their skills and expertise are right for the position. When interviewing, consider putting your phone on silent, shutting down any computers or televisions in the vicinity and informing your colleagues to not disturb you while the interview is being conducted.

    4. Discuss the company or organisation
Informing the candidate about the company or organisation you represent can help them understand if the business is a right fit for their knowledge and skills. Explaining the responsibilities of their role, what the work schedule looks like and if there are areas where the candidate can grow or develop their career, can help them better understand the position, motivate their responses and help them make an informed decision if you offer them the job.

The younger generation is very smart nowadays, so the previous preparation for the interview questions is really important. Also, the interviewer should show the actual picture of the job role and the company which leads to reduced demotivating employees and reduced turnover within the probation period.
